Marriott was launching the ability for guests to choose their room at check-in. While the user would see a few simple screens, the feature required complex back-end integration for a seamless user experience. This high level diagram shows the systems and touchpoints in the flow. It was used to help define the overall scope and cross-platform requirements of the initiative. It also served as a tool to understand user-facing conditions that would need to be communicated in the interface.
